Lenovo has announced global preorders for its new Yoga 9n 2-in-1 laptop, a convertible device weighing 4.28 lbs. The product is available for reservation now ahead of its October 16 shipping date.
Why it matters
This release introduces a new hardware architecture to Lenovo's high-end convertible line, targeting users who require mobile power for intensive computing tasks. The launch demonstrates a shift in the premium laptop segment toward integrated compute-graphics platforms.
The Yoga 9n utilizes the Nvidia RTX Spark platform, which integrates the CPU, 5,120-core GPU, and memory into a single package. The 16-inch OLED screen supports a 30-120 Hz variable refresh rate and hits a peak HDR brightness of 1,100 nits.
The players
Lenovo
A global technology company that designs and manufactures personal computing devices, servers, and mobile hardware.
Nvidia
A semiconductor company that develops graphics processing units and integrated hardware platforms for computing and artificial intelligence.
The details
The device features a 360-degree hinge mechanism that allows the chassis to transition between laptop, tablet, tent, and stand modes. The Nvidia RTX Spark platform—a system-on-chip design that consolidates processing and graphics duties to minimize latency—powers the performance. The base model ships with 32 GB of memory and 512 GB of storage, while the high-end configuration doubles these specs to 64 GB of memory and 1 TB of storage.
Timeline
Global preorders for the laptop opened on October 8, 2026.
Product shipping is scheduled to begin on October 16, 2026.
The Tech Race
The Yoga 9n signals an expansion of the Nvidia RTX Spark platform into the premium 2-in-1 market. This placement reflects a broader industry trend of integrating high-core-count graphics into mobile form factors previously dominated by discrete mobile GPUs.
The device is available for global preorder now, with a base entry cost of $2,999.99 in the U.S. Regional pricing is set at £2,800 in the UK and €3,629 in Germany, with hardware arriving in the hands of customers starting October 16.
The takeaway
Lenovo's latest release pushes the boundaries of performance-focused convertible hardware by utilizing a unified processing platform. Potential buyers should monitor reviews for thermal benchmarks following the October 16 ship date to see how the 5,120-core GPU performs under sustained workloads.
