Terms of Use
Effective date: November 1, 2026
Version: 1.0
These Terms govern your use of this website and the WE membership program. "We" and "us" mean the company that operates this website, identified in Section 15. By using this website or becoming a WE member, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use the sites
You must be at least 18 to become a WE member. You may read our sites at any age, but membership, voting, and content submission require an account and the minimum age.
2. WE membership
Membership is free. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile information, for keeping your login secure, and for activity under your account.
We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms. You may close your account at any time from account settings.
Membership includes participation in community polls. Poll results are displayed as totals and distributions only.
Rewards. Members can earn swag and event perks for community activity. Rewards have no cash value, can't be transferred, and we may change or end them at any time. They never depend on joining community research.
3. Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute, and display your content on our sites and in connection with promoting them, including in newsletters and on social media.
You promise that you own or have the right to post what you submit, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that it is not defamatory, harassing, or unlawful.
We may edit, decline, or remove any submission for any reason. Nothing obligates us to publish what you send.
Event reviews. If we give you a ticket to review an event, your review will say so. You're free to write whatever you honestly think: a ticket never depends on a positive review.
Attribution. Published contributions carry your name or chosen display name. We do not publish content under AI-generated author identities.
4. Rules
Do not:
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, or obscene.
- Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Post someone else's personal information without permission.
- Submit content you did not create without the right to do so.
- Manipulate polls through multiple accounts, automation, or coordinated voting.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest content or member data except as permitted by our robots.txt.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the sites.
- Use the sites for commercial solicitation without our permission.
5. Our content
Articles, images, data, designs, and software on the sites are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read, share links to, and quote briefly from our content with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions without written permission.
Our names, logos, and brands are our trademarks. Do not use them without permission.
6. Copyright complaints

Include the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). We will respond to valid notices and may remove content and terminate repeat infringers.
7. Third-party content and links
Our sites include advertising, links to other sites, and content from third parties. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or privacy practices.
8. No professional advice
Our publications cover health, personal finance, home, and other subjects. Nothing on our sites is medical, legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. Content is general information only. Consult a qualified professional about your situation. Do not delay seeking medical care because of something you read here.
Research findings, polls, forecasts, and index values are estimates. They may be wrong. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for any decision.
9. Disclaimers
The sites are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the sites will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will be accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the sites.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the sites will not exceed $40.
Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates, and our and their officers, employees, and agents from claims arising out of your content, your use of the sites, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Disputes
Talk to us first. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at legal@wearecommunitywise.com, describe the issue, and give us 60 days to try to resolve it informally. We'll do the same before bringing a claim against you. Any deadline for filing the claim is paused during those 60 days.
Where disputes are heard. Any claim relating to these Terms or our sites will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Washoe County, Nevada, and you and we consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
Individual claims only. To the extent permitted by law, claims may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action.
Jury waiver. To the extent permitted by law, you and we waive any right to a jury trial.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with an updated date. Material changes will be announced to members by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
14. Other
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy and, if you consent to it, the Research Participation Agreement, are the entire agreement between us.
