Bridge Alliance has begun commercial use of its BAEx network API platform with early enterprise customers, including cloud, mobile gaming and fintech companies, with Number Verify among the first APIs adopted. The development is commercially live in Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand, while expansion to India and the Philippines is announced rather than yet live.
Why it matters
Silent network authentication, which confirms that a phone number belongs to the user accessing a service, offers a carrier-based check as digital fraud and scams grow across Asia-Pacific. Bridge Alliance's model bundles operator capabilities into one integration point, a pattern that could make telecom network data easier for enterprises to consume at scale.
The platform is built on GSMA Open Gateway and CAMARA standards, which define common telecom API interfaces. Bridge Alliance reports nearly 2 billion customers across its member operators, but the announcement does not publish throughput, latency or accuracy figures for Number Verify.
The players
Bridge Alliance
A regional mobile operator consortium founded in 2004 that operates the BAEx API Exchange across Asia-Pacific.
MX Labs
A new BAEx partner that gains a single integration point into Bridge Alliance's member operators.
Aduna Global
The organizer, alongside Bridge Alliance, of the inaugural Global API Forum in Singapore.
Proximus Global
A subsidiary of Proximus that joined the BAEx Partner Programme.
The details
Bridge Alliance's API Exchange, BAEx, acts as a single platform through which an enterprise can call network capabilities across several operators at once, so a company such as MX Labs needs only one integration instead of separate deals with each carrier. Number Verify works by checking, at the network level, that the phone number a user enters matches the number the device is currently using, which helps confirm identity without a one-time code. BAEx already offers silent authentication tools of this kind, alongside a SIM Swap check, and Know-Your-Customer APIs are scheduled to join the portfolio.
Timeline
November 2025: Bridge Alliance lit up BAEx in Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand.
November 3, 2026: Early enterprise customers and partners announced, and the inaugural Global API Forum held in Singapore.
4Q2026: Know-Your-Customer APIs are scheduled to be added to BAEx.
First quarter of 2027: BAEx launches in Singapore and Vietnam.
The Tech Race
BAEx is built on GSMA Open Gateway and CAMARA standards, positioning Bridge Alliance's operators to offer network APIs on common interfaces rather than proprietary ones. Its live footprint of four markets, with India, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam announced next, places it among early commercial deployments of these standards in the region.
Enterprises in cloud services, mobile gaming and fintech can now call network-level checks such as Number Verify through a single integration, where live in Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand. Availability in India, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam is announced but not yet live, and no pricing has been published.
The takeaway
Network authentication through operator APIs is moving from standards documents into commercial contracts, and the early customer count will show whether enterprises adopt it at scale. Watch the Global API Forum on November 3, 2026, and the Know-Your-Customer API launch in 4Q2026, as both will indicate how far the portfolio extends beyond silent authentication.
What happens next
The Global API Forum in Singapore on November 3, 2026 is scheduled to bring together BAEx partners and customers, the Know-Your-Customer APIs are slated for 4Q2026, and the Singapore and Vietnam launches are planned for the first quarter of 2027.
