Modelithics has released Version 26.5 of its COMPLETE Library, providing 95 new measurement-based models for the Cadence AWR Design Environment platform. This update expands the library to represent more than 31,500 components from nearly 80 different vendors.

Why it matters

As RF and microwave system complexity grows, engineers require precise, measurement-based models to ensure simulation accuracy for power amplifier designs. This update provides current data for components from 19 vendors to support these design decisions.

The library update includes 95 new models covering nearly 2,800 individual components. Notably, the new Tecdia capacitor models are validated for performance up to 67 GHz.

The players

Modelithics

A Tampa-based firm providing precision simulation models and measurements for RF and microwave design.

Cadence Design Systems

A provider of computational software and EDA tools for semiconductor and electronic system design.

The details

The Modelithics library provides plug-n-play active and passive device models that integrate directly into Cadence Design Systems circuit and system electronic design automation (EDA) tools. Engineers use these measurement-based models to conduct large-signal and temperature-dependent simulations. These simulations are essential for designing radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers, which must operate reliably across varied environmental conditions.

Timeline
